Victoria Puente-Peters, MBA

Founder | CEO | Strategy Consultant

Known for her inclusive, charismatic leadership style and community-conscious business practices, Victoria Puente-Peters is focused on helping forward-thinking business and nonprofit leaders prepare and execute innovative growth strategies. As a fourth-generation Hispanic entrepreneur in Fort Worth, Victoria is honored to progress her family's legacy of business leadership and community impact. 

In 2018, Victoria founded Long Game Consulting, LLC, a boutique strategy consulting firm that drives results through cross-functional expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis and modeling, annual planning and goal setting, partnership evaluation, root cause analysis, board development, executive coaching, and other customized services designed to help organizations be sustainable for the Long Game. 

 

Victoria specializes in empowering business owners and nonprofit leaders to drive positive change, build cohesive teams, and maintain sustainable growth for their organizations. Her expertise in developing adaptive business strategies and roadmaps allows her to optimize a company's core functions by updating antiquated processes and creating collaborative, innovative, long-range plans.

Victoria's is a recipient of the 2021 Fort Worth Business Press "40 Under 40" award and received the 2016 Better Business Bureau and Women in Business Networking (WIBN) award for Tarrant County's "25 Women to Watch." In 2014, she was honored with the Girl's Inc. of Tarrant County "Bold Women Award" and the North Texas American Red Cross "Philanthropic Spirit Award." 

She earned her Executive Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas in Arlington and a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas Christian University. She is a Leadership Fort Worth Class of 2020 alumni and a Cowtown Executives Association member. 

 

Victoria serves on the Cook Children's Hospital Board of Trustees and Rocketship Public Schools of Texas Board of Directors and is a member of the Cowtown Executives Association, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Black Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. She has held volunteer leadership roles with the William M. McDonald YMCA, Sister Cities Fort Worth, American Red Cross, SteerFW, Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, and other local nonprofits.

TD Smyers

TD Smyers is an impressive career leader with over 30 years of top-level executive experience across diverse landscapes, from navigating the complexities of military command to orchestrating transformative changes as the CEO of prominent nonprofits. TD is renowned for his mastery of ethical leadership in high-stakes scenarios and his ability to leverage his diplomatic acumen to resolve complex issues and crisis situations.

 

As a Long Game consultant and dynamic keynote speaker, TD leverages his vast knowledge and experience to empower a new generation of bold, ethical leaders. His executive coaching approach focuses on values-based, intentional growth and leading with authenticity. He also works with you to develop new strategies to enhance your vision, drive, and ability to make high-pressure decisions. With TD's guidance, you gain the confidence and insights necessary to navigate your organization through turbulent waters toward stability and growth.

 

TD's leadership philosophy was shaped by diverse service and experience, beginning with a notable 31-year tenure in the United States Navy, where he held significant roles from Director of Congressional Affairs and Director of Collaborative Warfare for Navy Aviation at the Pentagon to Command of Patrol Squadron Sixty-Two in Jacksonville, Florida. His military service reached a distinguished culmination as the Commanding Officer of the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, from which he retired as a Captain in 2011.

 

He then turned his focus to the nonprofit sector, where he applied his leadership experience and strategic insight, leading transformative change as the regional CEO of the Red Cross North Texas and CEO of the United Way of Tarrant County. His innovative work at United Way led to the launch of BoardBuild, a pioneering initiative designed to enhance nonprofit board service and leadership nationwide. 

 

TD's innovative leadership at NAS Fort Worth was recognized with the prestigious Legion of Merit by the Secretary of the Navy. His transformative work in Fort Worth was further acknowledged by the Fort Worth Business Press, naming him the City's Top Nonprofit CEO in 2019.

 

He holds a bachelor's degree in physics from the United States Naval Academy and a master's degree in Resource Strategy from the National Defense University's Eisenhower School. TD is a certified John Maxwell coach and is a member in good standing of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Quinton Phillips

Cultural Competency Consultant

As Long Game's Cultural Competency expert, Q brings an exceptional blend of advocacy, education, and hands-on experience to the fields of self-awareness and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). Under his seasoned guidance, clients acquire the essential tools and insights necessary to cultivate an inclusive environment that fuels innovation and drives success.

 

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Q's commitment to cultural understanding began over 25 years ago as a facilitator for high school diversity and leadership programs in collaboration with the Multicultural Alliance. Over the course of his 15-year tenure as a Juvenile Probation Officer, he advocated for employees and marginalized clients on issues of race and equality and became a leading voice in cultural competency within Tarrant County and the Mental Health Connection.

 

His extensive educational roles include Program Coordinator with "Da" Village Education Center, Behavioral Interventionist with Lena Pope Home Inc., and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University (TCU), where he teaches courses on Multiculturalism, Criminal Justice, and Juvenile Delinquency.

 

Elected to the Fort Worth Independent School District Board of Trustees in 2019, Q has been a trailblazer in formulating one of Texas' first racial equity policies. As a founding partner and Executive Director of the nonprofit Community Frontline, he spearheads Racial Justice and Solidarity initiatives and designs solutions to address pressing community issues.

 

Q is a graduate of the illustrious Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and a proud alumnus of Prairie View A&M University. He continues to serve his community as a member of various boards and councils, including the Texas Association of School Boards. 

 

With degrees in Social Work, Psychology, and Theological Studies and industry-leading certifications, Q is well-equipped to address complex cultural issues. His insights and experience in Cultural Competency make him an invaluable asset to the Long Game team and clients seeking to embrace and enhance diverse cultures within their organizations. 

Charles Denison

Financial Consultant

Charles Denison is Long Game’s ace-in-the-hole when it comes to helping clients evaluate growth strategies, partnership opportunities, and financial modeling for strategic decision-making. Charles lends his unparalleled expertise to Long Game clients on a selective, contractual basis.

As a trusted financial consultant, investment, and operational strategist, Charles has an impressive history of supporting sustainable growth and transformation in various industries. He has an extraordinary reputation for partnering with executive leadership and asset owners to align financial resources and business processes with strategic goals. 

Charles is also a skilled investment manager with extensive experience building, monitoring, and assessing portfolio investments for foundations and organizations while developing a pipeline of attractive investment strategies. In the U.S. and international markets, he has managed investment assets in various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, cash, and alternatives (hedge funds, private equity, oil and gas, and real estate). 

Charles worked as the Director of Investments & Corporate Development of Virtuoso, the leading global network of agencies specializing in luxury and experiential travel. At Virtuoso, Charles developed investment strategies, identified growth opportunities, monitored investment risk, and fully executed investment opportunities on behalf of the organization. Charles provided the needed insight to drive intelligent, sound decision-making for the organization by leveraging his advanced quantitative skills and strategic thinking, with an ability to analyze, execute, monitor, and monetize a broad range of direct investments around the globe. 

Before joining Virtuoso, Charles served as Principal and Chief Investment Officer for the Diesslin Group, where he led the firm’s asset management division and investment strategy. At Diesslin, Charles was responsible for overseeing over $750 million in assets under management. 

Charles currently serves as President of the BRIT Foundation, where he is on the Board of Directors. In this capacity, he helps oversee a $75 million investment portfolio funded by 15 different endowments supporting the Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical Research Institute of Texas, one of the largest botanical exploration and research centers in the United States. He earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University.
